Multi Trip Travel Insurance
If you enjoy jetting off more than a couple of times per year then an Alpha Multi-Trip policy could be perfect for you. Whether it's city breaks, beach getaways, skiing adventures, or a combination, this policy covers them all!
A Multi-Trip policy allows you to travel as many times as you like within a 12-month period (as long as each trip is 31 days or less each), be it in the UK, Europe or worldwide. It saves you purchasing a different policy for every trip, and it could save you some money!
As with all our policies, we give you the choice of excess – this can be anything from £0 to £175. It really is up to you - however please bear in mind that the lower the excess, the less money will be deducted from your payout in the case of a claim.
There are two types of Multi-Trip policy, one which includes winter sports cover and one which doesn’t. Even if you are only going on one ski trip this year, you can still take out a Winter Sports Multi-Trip policy which will cover you for sunny getaways too! It just provides additional cover for activities and equipment which otherwise wouldn’t be included in a standard Multi-Trip policy.
All Alpha Multi Trip policies include:
- A choice of excess (your contribution in the event of a claim)

- Cover for cancellation, medical emergencies, personal belongings, cash, travel documents and much more
- Cover for an unlimited number of trips during the year, provided each trip is not more than 31 days long
- Includes UK trips of more than 3 days
- Cover for people aged 79 years or under for the Multi Trip without Wintersports policy
- 14 day cooling off period
- Europe, Worldwide and UK cover options available as long as not travelling against the advice of the FCDO
- Emergency medical assistance team available 24 hours a day, every day of the year
- Free access to our Customer Area, with the ability to view, resend and download your policy documents whenever, wherever!
Benefits of choosing the Multi Trip with Wintersports policy:
- Cover for winter sports activities like skiing, snowboarding etc
- Cover for your own or hired wintersports equipment if it's lost, stolen or damaged
- Cover for people aged 64 years or under for the Multi Trip with Wintersports policy
- If your ski resort is closed, cover for up to £200
PLEASE NOTE: Cancellation cover for your holidays starts when your Multi Trip policy begins - we suggest making the start date the purchase date to avoid periods without cover. This is also why Multi Trip policies can only be purchased up to a month in advance from the start date.

£1,250 - Curtailment
If you have to cut your trip short and come home early due to certain circumstances, the curtailment part of your policy will cover the loss of any of your pre-booked and unused parts of your trip, as well as additional expenses incurred in getting home, all up to the value of £1,250.
£1,500 - Personal Possessions
All of our Alpha policies come with £1,500 for your personal possessions in case they get lost, stolen or damaged. This includes cover for your clothes, shoes, cosmetics, jewellery and electrical items. If you need cover for your gadgets (mobile phones etc), then be sure to add our Gadget Extension on when purchasing your policy for these to be protected too!
£500 - Alternative Transport
If your train is delayed, or your car breaks down en route to the airport which means you miss your flight, then your policy allows for up to £500 for alternative transport to get you to your destination. See all the info in your policy wordings here.

Multi Trip Info
Multi Trip travel insurance is the most cost-effective option for anyone who travels more than once a year; the great thing about having a Multi Trip policy is that you don’t need to keep buying insurance every time you travel – or worry about remembering to!
The Alpha product range includes two options for Multi Trip:
Multi Trip with Wintersports cover – This is ideal if you plan on taking a ski or snowboarding holiday during the year. It also includes a variety of cover for wintersports equipment, both hired and owned.
Multi Trip without Wintersports cover – If you’re more of a sun-worshipper and don’t need winter cover but are still looking for a great range of cover for trips of up to 31 days in length.
Please note that our policies must be purchased for trips starting and ending within the UK, and will not be valid if you have already begun your trip or are already abroad. Our insurance policies are also currently unable to cover for cruise holidays unless you have purchased our cruise extension.
